From a very early age the owner – Andre van Rooyen – was intrigued with anything with wheels. Even before he went to school it was clear that he had a passion for vehicles. And his dream to become a mechanic was set into motion.
His father – Seun van Rooyen – was at the time servicing and repairing vehicles from his home and over the years the van Rooyen team restored various vintage vehicles.
After qualifying as a mechanic and working in Nelspruit for Two years, Andre returned home to work side by side once again with Seun. Andre continued to broaden his expertise but kept his love for vintage vehicles.
In 2001 the opportunity came along to rent workshop space in Albertskroon which opened a new and bigger client portal. In 2011 the workshop was moved to Main road to the building known as Americano Roadhouse. In 2014 the shop was once again moved to Industria-North where they have been ever since.
What started as a dream grew into a well-known and respected business with clientele far beyond the borders of Gauteng and abroad and has a wide variety of services to offer their customers.
